These Community Guidelines apply to all Tenkobo features that let users communicate with each other, and are operated by Kronerland AS.
1. Who We Are

These Community Guidelines supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where these Guidelines and our Terms of Service conflict on matters of acceptable conduct in Community Features, these Guidelines prevail.

- Study Groups: Group conversations, study rooms, and any shared group content

3. Content That Is Not Allowed
๐ซ Zero Tolerance

You will not post, send, or share through Tenkobo any content that:

4. How We Enforce These Rules
In-App Reporting
Every message, user, and study group has a "Report" action. We review every in-app report within 72 hours โ usually much faster โ and act accordingly. Actions may include:
- Removing the reported content
- Issuing a warning to the user who posted it
- Temporarily or permanently banning the user from chat and study groups
- Archiving or removing a study group
- Suspending or deleting the user's Tenkobo account for severe or repeated violations
Blocking Other Users
Any user can block another user at any time, for any reason, directly from their profile or from a conversation. Blocked users cannot contact you in direct messages or study groups, and their messages are hidden from your view. Blocking is silent โ the blocked user is not notified.
Automated Moderation
We use automated systems to flag certain content for human review. Flags do not automatically remove content โ all removal and account decisions are made or confirmed by our moderation team, except in cases of confirmed child sexual abuse material (CSAM), where removal is immediate and reported to the appropriate authorities.
Automated systems may also rate-limit accounts that send messages at volumes consistent with spam or abuse.
Proactive Moderation
In addition to reports, our moderation team may proactively act on content that violates these Guidelines, including content that comes to our attention through internal tooling, referrals from platforms (Apple, Google), or law enforcement.
5. Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the content you post, send, or share through Community Features.
- Content you send in direct messages is visible to the recipient. Content you post in study groups is visible to all members of that group. Our moderation team may review this content when it is reported or when automated systems flag it.
- You are responsible for keeping your Tenkobo account secure. Do not share your login details with anyone, and enable any additional security options we offer.
- If you are a study group owner or admin, you are responsible for helping keep your group's conversations consistent with these Guidelines. Tenkobo may remove groups that persistently host rule-breaking content.
- Do not use Community Features to contact someone who has asked you to stop, or to evade a block (for example, by creating a second account).
6. Consequences for Violations
Depending on the severity, frequency, and context of the violation, consequences may include:
- Warning โ a message in-app reminding you of the rules
- Content removal โ the offending message, post, or group is hidden from view
- Temporary suspension โ you lose access to Community Features for a defined period (for example, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days)
- Permanent ban โ you lose access to Community Features indefinitely
- Account termination โ for severe violations (for example, content involving minors, credible threats of violence, or repeated serious abuse), we may delete your Tenkobo account entirely
- Law enforcement referral โ where required or appropriate, we may report conduct to law enforcement and preserve evidence (see Section 7)
We reserve the right to act on violations without prior notice where the severity of the content, the safety of our users, or our legal obligations require it.
7. Child Safety and Mandatory Reporting
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ Protecting Minors
Tenkobo is used by students aged 16 and over (see our Privacy Policy for age requirements). Protecting minors in Community Features is a top priority.
We do not tolerate any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor. Suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is removed immediately upon confirmation and reported to the appropriate national authorities, including Kripos (Norwegian National Criminal Investigation Service) and, where applicable, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other national hotlines.
Where we become aware of conduct that constitutes a credible threat to the life or safety of a child or any other user, we may disclose relevant account and content information to law enforcement without prior notice to the account holder, as permitted by applicable law.
If you believe a user is attempting to groom, sexualize, or otherwise endanger a minor, please report the user and their messages immediately using the in-app "Report" action, or email tenkobo-support@kronerland.no.
8. Appeals
If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned unfairly, you can appeal by emailing tenkobo-support@kronerland.no with:
- The email address associated with your Tenkobo account
- The date and approximate time of the action
- A short description of what happened
- Any context you believe is relevant to the decision
A member of our moderation team who did not make the original decision will review your appeal. We typically respond to appeals within 2โ5 business days. In complex cases, we may take longer and will update you if so.
Appeal decisions are final, except where required otherwise by applicable law.
9. Data Handling in Community Features
Our handling of messages and other content you share through Community Features is governed by our Privacy Policy. In summary:
- We store messages in order to deliver them, sync them across your devices, and make them available to the intended recipients.
- Our moderation team may access specific messages when they are reported or flagged by automated systems, to the extent necessary to review the report.
- We retain reported content and associated metadata as long as necessary to investigate, take action, and meet our legal obligations.
- We do not sell messages or study group content to advertisers or other third parties.
10. Regional Considerations
Nigerian Users
For our users in Nigeria, we also comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and other applicable Nigerian laws. Content that constitutes cyberstalking, cyberbullying, or other offences under the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act may be reported to Nigerian law enforcement, and account data may be disclosed in response to valid legal process.
European Users
For users in Norway and the European Union, these Guidelines are supplemented by our obligations under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and relevant national laws. You retain the right to lodge complaints with your national data protection authority regarding our handling of your data in Community Features.
Global Users
Regardless of where you live, these Guidelines apply to your use of Community Features. Local laws may impose additional restrictions on what you can share โ you are responsible for complying with the laws of your own jurisdiction.
11. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our Community Features, applicable laws, or moderation practices. When we make material changes, we will show you the updated Guidelines and ask you to accept them before you can continue using Community Features. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Minor, non-material changes (such as fixing typos or reformatting) may be made without notice.
